Play Pente now!     QUIT

Welcome to the head-to-head version of Pente Net! Here, two opponents can play side by side on one computer. Or, you can play both sides of a game in order to develop strategies. Choose the type of game you would like to play, and have fun using our online Pente board!

1. Choose a board size
The official game board is a 19x19 grid. When playing by the standard Pente rules, games rarely grow to reach the edge of the board. We offer a 13x13 board to increase the level of strategy by bringing the edges closer.

2. Decide the rules for this game
(If you are new to the game, you may want to read the Pente instructions first.)

First player must move on the center point - all subsequent moves are open. Pairs can be captured. Win by placing 5 or more stones in a row, OR by capturing 5 or more pairs of the opponent's stones.

Tournament rules
First player must move on the center point. First player's second move must be 3 or more points removed from the center point. Pairs can be captured. Win by placing 5 or more stones in a row, OR by capturing 5 or more pairs of the opponent's stones.
